On November 6th, we celebrate National Stress Awareness Day. On this day, we take the time to focus on Relaxtion.
We often get so caught up in our daily busy lives, that we forget to take the time to just...breathe. Our focus is often on getting this done, doing that, going there...we have so much going on that we don't realize the potential impact this is having on our minds and bodies.
We must incorporate some stress relief into our routines in order to create a healthy balance. Here are some ways you can begin to destress;
- Drink a cup of tea
- Get a massage
- Take a yoga class
- Get a mani-pedi
- Cardio exercise
- Get a facial
- Meditate or Pray
- Listen to soothing/calming music
- Go for a walk
These are just ideas – find what relieves your stress and create your own routine! What's important is that you do it - your physical & mental health depends on it!
Distances include 1-mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1 miles and 26.2 miles.
*Keep Calm & Carry On medals will begin shipping mid-October*
Note: this is a virtual event that can be completed anytime, it is not restricted to November!
