On September 25th, we celebrate National Women's Health & Fitness Day. On this day, we take the time to focus on things that are important to our health and well-being as women, by forming new healthy habits & making better lifestyle choices.
As women we often take on many roles and responsibilities, such as wife, mother, career woman, stay-at-home mom, etc. In our focus on taking care of everyone else around us, we often forget the person that needs our attention the most - OURSELVES! Finding a healthy balance is the key to our own healthiness, and here are some ways we can begin to care for YOU;
- Get a massage
- Take a yoga class
- Get a mani-pedi
- Head to the gym for some cardio
- Get a facial
- Eat a yummy salad (add fun things like fruit)
- Establish 1 hour of "mommy time" at home - put it on the calendar!
- Take a calming walk – leave your watch at home!
These are just ideas – find what makes you feel good and create your own happiness! Being a "Boss Chick" and handling everything around you doesn't mean neglecting yourself!
